Syracuse, N.Y. —Shock is a diluted emotion in the transfer portal/NIL era of college athletics. The Syracuse football universe got as close to it as one can get on Tuesday when news broke that wide receiver Trebor Pena is expected to enter the transfer portal. Pena was Syracuse’s leading wide receiver in college football’s top passing offense last season (84 catches, 941 yards and nine touchdowns) and was set to be the top target again in 2025.

Syracuse, N.Y. —The good news about being a sports fan in 2025 is there is likely an online stream of an event you are looking to watch if you can’t attend. I was reminded of how spoiled we are in this realm during a recent conversation with ESPN lacrosse analyst Paul Carcaterra in the broadcast booth at the JMA Dome as he watched an online stream of his daughter’s high school lacrosse game while doing last-minute preparation to call Syracuse vs. Notre Dame men’s lacrosse on ACC Network.

Syracuse, N.Y. — The Syracuse football team will hold its spring game at 3 p.m., Saturday in the JMA Wireless Dome. Last year’s game at the dome attracted a spring game record crowd of more than 16,000 fans. This year’s spring game will not be televised or streamed online. The first hour of the spring game will be broadcast on TK99 before the radio station changes over to coverage of the men’s lacrosse game vs. No. 1 Cornell.

Good week of Nike Hoop Summit practices for Syracuse-commit Kiyan Anthony. Dynamic perimeter shooter who can play off hesitation moves smoothly. https://t.co/3m5LJoiu9T

I’ve had a bunch of people ask me if there are spots that will have the Syracuse-Cornell 🥍stream locally. I know Heritage Hill Brewhouse will have it. Drop some ⬇️ if you know of any more.

Interesting developments with 🍊🏈 first opponent

Sources: Tennessee QB Nico Iamaleava did not attend Tennessee spring practice today. He’s been in conversations with Tennessee about a new contract. The no-show of practice came as a surprise. https://t.co/VXsXTPDZpu
