The Health and Homelessness Fund for Change has announced $5 million in capital funding to Canadian Mental Health Association Thames Valley Addiction and Mental Health Services (CMHA TVAMHS) to help create 115 new highly supportive housing apartments. The donation will help create units at Hill Street near Wellington Street and Huron Street near Adelaide Street.

A London man has been sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison and given a five-year driving ban after a crash which killed 37-year-old Rachel Stapleton on Southdale Road in January 2022. Clay Kuzio, who was found guilty of dangerous driving causing death in November 2024, was sentenced in a London courtroom Monday by Superior Court Justice Kelly Tranquilli. ‘It’s not enough, he’s shown no remorse,” says Dave Lindsay, Stapleton’s boyfriend.

A new memorial has been built at the Forks of the Thames recognizing those who died during the Battle of the Atlantic. During a ceremony commemorating the 80th anniversary of the end of the Battle, the new monument was unveiled. “This is exceptionally important because for the first time, we are recognizing all of the sailors and all of the Merchant Navy and Air Force crew who were lost at sea and have no graves,” said Ed Holder, chair of the Battle of the Atlantic Memorial.
