The University of Colorado announced Monday that quarterback Shedeur Sanders and two-way star Travis Hunter are “officially untouchable” and will retire their football jersey numbers Saturday in a ceremony at Folsom Field. That means jersey No. 2 for Sanders and No. 12 for Hunter will not be worn again by any Colorado player and will be only the fifth and sixth retired jersey numbers in CU football history.

Mercedes-Benz has backed down from its attempt to repossess the car of Colorado football safety Shilo Sanders. The company’s financial services arm filed a document in court Monday saying it has withdrawn its motion for relief from the bankruptcy court where Sanders is trying to free himself of more than $11 million in debt.

Colorado football coach Deion Sanders addressed the bankruptcy case of his son Shilo Friday and said a recent financial issue involving Shilo’s car was because of a “disruption in payments” after the termination of his online account. Mercedes-Benz Financial Services on Tuesday filed a motion in court that said Shilo, an NFL draft prospect, defaulted on his car payments for a Mercedes car that he agreed to purchase in May 2023 on a monthly payment plan.
