PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - On Thursday, just after 4:30 p.m., the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office confirmed two additional fires burning in Pueblo County. Deputies said one fire, named the Daniel Road Fire, was burning at 38th Lane and Daniel Road. Crews said the Daniel Road fire was at 50 acres with zero containment, as of 9:02 p.m.Deputies said crews will be on scene throughout the fire, and flames and smoke could still be visible.

FOWLER, Colo. (KKTV) - Crews say a wildland fire that broke out Thursday afternoon near Fowler is 75 percent contained, as of 3:10. According to the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office, crews were on scene near 67th Lane and Garnett Road, south of Highway 50 and just west of Fowler. As of 2 p.m., the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office said the fire, called the 67Lane Fire, was approximately 39 acres.

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - Deputies said Friday that a suspect had turned himself in after a warrant had been issued for his arrest related to a road rage shooting in El Paso County in December 2024. According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO), deputies responded to a reported shooting near the Gate 5 entrance of Fort Carson and Highway 115 on December 11.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - The Colorado Springs Police Department said Friday that the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit arrested a man on a felony child sexploitation charge after months of investigation. According to CSPD, the ICAC received a tip in September 2024 from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that someone was uploading child sex abuse material to a social media app.

DENVER (KKTV) - The Denver Nuggets are parting ways with two of the team’s top leaders. Head Coach Michael Malone was relieved of his duties “effective immediately” and General Manager Calvin Booth’s contract will not be extended, according to a release from the team on Tuesday. Malone was head coach in Denver for 10 seasons with a 471-327 record, including the team’s first ever NBA Championship in 2023.
