At Thursday night's Jefferson County School board meeting, representatives of the Colorado school district's teacher's union announced a "no confidence" vote in Superintendent Tracy Dorland. For decades, a 100 acre property in the center of Wheat Ridge operated as a medical campus. Now the former Lutheran hospital property is changing. "We want to get going just as quickly as we can," Chris Elliott Principal of E5X said. On Tuesday, Intermountain Health announced that E5X, a Colorado based developer, would be taking over as the new owner. Some homes in eastern Colorado were badly damaged after multiple tornadoes touched down in parts of Adams County and Elbert County on Sunday. Emergency management teams say no injuries were reported and that emergency alerts were received by hundreds of residents. Both rural areas rely largely on emergency notifications like calls, texts, and emails, also known as CodeRed alerts, to warn residents of severe weather.

"I've been in the ICU for about four years, but I've been at Sky Ridge for about six," said Abby Plotke. She cares for the sickest of the sick, patients post-cardiac arrest, stroke and trauma, where every heartbeat counts.

Doris Dedic has been a Colorado Department of Corrections employee for years. "December of 2020, I started off as a regular community parole officer," she said.
