Weber State softball took two games from visiting Utah Tech on Saturday afternoon to conclude the regular season having won every in-state series it played during the 2025 campaign. WSU finishes the regular season with a 24-29 record. That mark includes an 8-2 record against fellow Utah teams — 2-1 each against Utah State and Utah Tech, and 2-0 each against Utah and Utah Valley. Utah Tech beat WSU 5-0 in a Feb.

TAYLOR — No. 11 West Field High baseball capped a 32-hit, high-scoring Saturday with a 16-12, comeback win in Game 3 over visiting No. 22 Green Canyon to take its 4A first-round playoff series 2-1. West Field advances to face No. 6 Dixie for a best-of-three series May 8-9 in St. George. The winner of that advances to a double-elimination bracket for the final eight teams. West Field (17-11) trailed 10-3 after two innings but took a 15-11 lead with a seven-run sixth.

OGDEN — Jayci Finch and Brooke Merrill, both pitchers, spent quite a bit of time around the Weber State softball program but took a few years to find their way back to the Ogden school. Now both are finishing up their college softball careers and hope to boost Weber State as the Wildcats contend for the Big Sky tournament title next week.
