    Police documents released this morning tell more about what caused the melee at Maricopa’s public pool that landed 19-year-old Iyanna Shaw in jail over Memorial Day weekend. The fight was ongoing when Maricopa Police Department officers arrived at the Copper Sky Aquatic Center just after 4 p.m. Sunday and found “a large congregation of people leaving the pool area, all of which were yelling loudly at one another,” according to the probable cause statement obtained by InMaricopa.

    A young woman ended up behind bars after things got wild at Maricopa’s public pool over Memorial Day weekend. Maricopa Police Department responded to the Copper Sky Aquatic Center after a fight that broke out near the outdoor pool ended inside the recreation center Sunday. The flight “between two parties” resulted in the arrest of Iyanna Shaw, 19. Police charged her with assault, endangerment and disorderly conduct, according to spokesperson Monica Williams.

    The Arizona Department of Public Safety has disclosed new details about the C7 Corvette that smashed into the sign at the southern entrance to Maricopa’s Cobblestone Farms neighborhood after a dangerous flight from law enforcement late Saturday night. Just before midnight, an unmarked AZDPS state trooper on State Route 347 tried to pull over the Corvette for speeding. This comes at the same time state troopers say they are ramping up speeding arrests on that highway.

    When the sheriff of Pinal County told a room full of Hidden Valley homeowners (and one InMaricopa reporter) that his deputies had nabbed a suspected tractor thief south of city limits, we had to find out more. Back on May 8, deputies responded to a home on Barnes Road where a 78-year-old woman reported her tractor had been stolen. She told the deputies she had last seen the green machine April 19.
