TEMPE, Ariz. — It was a Saturday morning complete with family, football and 500 kids at Roy Lopez Jr.’s fourth annual youth football camp at Marcos de Niza High School in Tempe, Lopez's alma mater. PHOENIX — The Phoenix Suns are calling an "attack" on Suns center Drew Eubanks "unacceptable" following an incident before the team's game against the Detroit Pistons Wednesday evening. Phoenix police said Pistons center Isaiah Stewart was arrested following the incident. Eubanks said he was “sucker-punched” by the Stewart before the game. The Suns and Phoenix police both confirmed the altercation to 12Sports.
A Women's Basketball Hall of Famer is working to make history at a Phoenix high school

PHOENIX — The Arizona high school basketball playoffs tip off in February, marking the second season of the Open Division bracket for both boys and girls. The Open gives the strongest teams out of 4A, 5A, and 6A an opportunity to play in highly competitive matchups in the postseason. Phoenix’s Xavier College Prep, an all-girls Catholic high school, is currently sitting atop the Open Division rankings with aspirations of winning the school’s first basketball championship this year.

PHOENIX — The 34th season of Friday Night Fever, Arizona's #1 and longest-running high school football show has now come to a close and it is time to name our 2023 Defensive Player of the Year. This year, that honor belongs to Centennial High School defensive end Noah Carter! The senior out of Peoria in the northwest Valley has been described as "a beast", an "ironman", and a player that's "not from this world" in part because he has almost as many sacks as he does touchdowns.
