WEST HAVEN - The City Council voted 7-1 to approve the sale of the city-owned North End Field to the University of New Haven, expanding the university's footprint while taking a currently unused property from the city's control. City officials have said a challenge of maintaining the property is that it is located between two privately owned properties and has a narrow entryway that can only be accessed through the parking lot of 1131 Campbell Ave.
