    1 INTRODUCTION Health professions education (HPE) research aims to improve the preparation of trainees for future healthcare practice and to transform the systems in which HPE occurs. This research often lays the foundation for educational innovations and their evaluation. When publishing our research and innovation projects, we do so in hopes that others can learn from them, use them in their own research or practice and build on them. In other words, we aim for transferability in our work.

    1 INTRODUCTION Many consider qualitative research to be the study of experience. In a sense, this is true: Qualitative data relies on the recounting of experiences for research purposes. But this does not mean the research is about lived experiences. Indeed, the term lived experience is often used loosely, co-mingling various conceptions and research approaches. This reduces the meaningfulness of lived experience as a focus of research—it becomes everything and nothing.

    Housing has emerged as one of the most pressing issues facing Florida residents with many people saying they are simply getting priced out. This past legislative session, state lawmakers chose to do something about it. The bill they passed — called the Live Local Act — has been hailed by Republicans and Democrats alike as a game changer for affordable housing in the state. The law just went into effect, and it comes with a record $711 million dollars in funding for housing programs in Florida.

    Orange and Osceola County State Attorney Monique Worrell is out of a job … at least for now. Gov. Ron DeSantis suspended Worrell this week. She’s a Democrat who was elected in 2020 with 66% of the vote. In a press conference Wednesday, DeSantis said Worrell hasn’t been tough on crime and has avoided mandatory minimum sentences for gun crimes and drug offenses.
