Published: June 23, 2025 at 5:05 AMYour umbrella will be a necessity this week as scattered storm and shower chances increase. Today we are starting out with coastal morning showers with coverage increasing inland through the afternoon and evening, which may lead to slow-downs during commute hours. The reason rain chances increase is due to high pressure moving east away from Texas. Without the high pressure, there will be no sinking air to dry out the atmosphere.

Published: June 17, 2025 at 4:38 PMHOUSTON – Will we have more mosquitoes this year compared to last year? Because if you lived in Houston, you know last year was BUGGY! Mosquito season starts in March and lasts until October, peaking during April for the mating season. In April, the warmer weather speeds up the mosquito life cycle compared to summer. Eggs hatch faster in warmer spring weather, not the scorching hot summer weather.

Published: May 24, 2025 at 6:39 AMSign up for our NewslettersPublished: May 24, 2025 at 6:39 AMHOUSTON – Gulf humidity is back and will be in charge for most of our holiday forecast. While there is a very small chance to see any rain for the first half of the holiday, it’s always good to see current conditions if you’re trying to head out. You can check radar here: Expect highs to climb again back into the mid 90s, feeling more like the low 100s so as always, take care in the midday heat.

Happy Father’s Day. May you enjoy your blessings today.

Rich, creamy and delightful. Bolt’s enjoying his homemade peanut butter, banana pupsicle. https://t.co/PxFZ8ckala

Letting the tea steep, but I can already smell the lemon and ginger. Getting ready for bed. https://t.co/5kTrIcEMFc

Working a double tomorrow and tracking rain. ⛈️ So I thought I’d add a little spicy pico de gallo in the mix with a few savory bites of crunchy potatoes. Oh my. Already thinking about tomorrow’s lunch. https://t.co/W8723AO2Ud
