    The Eastern Pacific hurricane season started on May 15, and three weeks later, we now have the first named storm, Tropical Storm Alvin. T.S. Alvin is not directly impacting land, but its track eventually takes it close to the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula on Saturday, as it moves north and weakens into a depression on Saturday evening, eventually weakening to a low.
