A brush fire along the train tracks in Wilmington is sending plumes of smoke over I-495 near the East 12th Street exit late in the afternoon of April 15. It appears exit ramps to this area of the city have been closed to vehicles traveling on the interstate. Flames could be seen shooting from the brushy area that borders the Brandywine and butts up against train tracks that run through the area. The cause of the fire and where it originated were not immediately clear. This is a developing story.
