A federal appeals court determined Thursday that former President Donald Trump can continue to impose global tariffs for now. This ruling came less than 24 hours after a three-judge panel said Trump overstepped his authority when he invoked the 1977 International Emergency Economic Powers Act to declare a national emergency and justify the sweeping tariffs. The man arrested in connection to a shooting in Glynn County over the weekend has a violent past.Brandon Betts is currently accused of firing a shotgun multiple times in the direction of a mother, her two kids, aged 9 and 7, and another man, according to police. The shooting happened Friday night near the area of Mulligans and the Royal Inn Hotel.Investigators said the woman suffered a gunshot wound to the lower abdomen/hip area.

A new end-of-life option is taking root in Georgia. Governor Brian Kemp recently signed a bill that legalizes human composting in the state. Supporters say it's a more eco-friendly alternative to traditional burial or cremation. “So out in the natural world, when something dies, it will immediately begin to nourish new life. That's directly the idea behind human composting,” said Laura Cassidy with Recompose, a Seattle-based company that turns human remains into usable soil.
