Changes coming to the competitive cheerleading scene in Savannah.Cheer Savannah, Savannah Sharks and Crowned Elite Athletics have officially merged to create Top Gun Savannah.Top Gun is one one of the most well known and decorated cheerleading gyms in the world with multiple locations across the United States and one gym in the United Kingdom.Savannah marks Top Gun's ninth location. Top Gun Savannah will feature two brand-new training locations.

A very special dog will certainly have his day. Rocky the Bulldog will earn his 3rd Infantry Division uniform patch at a ceremony at Club Stewart on Friday.Known as a “patching ceremony,” this event formally welcomes new Soldiers to the division as they don the historic 3rd ID patch for the first time. The ceremony serves as Rocky the Bulldog’s formal initiation into the ranks of the division’s Dogface Soldiers.

Savannah's Matthew Hashiguchi has won a Peabody Award for his documentary, “The Only Doctor,” which focuses on rural health and the services provided by a single doctor in southwest Georgia. The Peabody Awards are prestigious accolades in storytelling across television, radio, streaming and other digital mediums. Categories for winning a Peabody include journalism, social video, interactive documentary, gaming and more.
