TORRINGTON - A Hamden man stole six sets of tires off a fleet of new Hondas then sent a selfie and a bragging text shortly after the late-night October theft, according to a warrant for his arrest. Brandon Sullo, 22, will be arraigned in Superior Court in Torrington on April 28 on charges of second-degree larceny and first-degree criminal mischief for the police say is the theft of six sets of tires from Sullivan Honda in Torrington.

WATERBURY - A 36-year-old Waterbury man confessed to a brutal beating that left a homeless man dead, telling police he "got the best of him," according to the arrest warrant. David Morkis, who also is experiencing homelessness, was charged with first-degree manslaughter last week in the Nov. 21 death of Paul "Pauly" Barillaro, 57, whose body was found days later, half-naked and bloodied, near a makeshift camp behind the Brass Mill Center mall on Union Street.

WATERBURY - The driver in a fatal crash on Baldwin Street in December had marijuana and PCP in his system at the time of the crash, according to a warrant for his arrest. Troy Kelley, 47, of New Haven, is being held in lieu of a $1 million bond on multiple charges, including second-degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle, two counts of second-degree assault with a motor vehicle, first-degree reckless endangerment, reckless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
