BAY VILLAGE, Ohio — It’s been three days since the death of Dylan Veselic, a rising star on the Bay High School lacrosse team, after what school what parents of lacrosse players are calling a freak accident during a game. Parents, players, and administrators are still reeling from the tragedy. “Knowing it was a freak accident and knowing that these accidents happen, but nothing like this,” said Lori Gemma, a lacrosse parent.

MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, Ohio — For more than a decade, the unsolved murder of Aliza Sherman has loomed over Cleveland. Now, prosecutors say there's finally been a break in the case. Gregory Moore, Sherman’s former divorce attorney, was arrested Friday in connection with her 2013 death. Police who originally investigated the crime say Moore had long been a person of interest, but a lack of evidence prevented them from making an arrest.

The energy across downtown was undeniable, even as temperatures struggled to climb above 40 degrees.
