The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for parts of southeastern Louisiana, including northwestern Jefferson Parish, west central Orleans Parish, northern St. Charles Parish, and central St. John the Baptist Parish. The warning is in effect until 11:45 a.m. CDT.At 8:42 a.m., Doppler radar detected thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall in the affected areas. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have already fallen, with additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches expected.
