Crow Mountain Orchards has been closed since 2024 after owner Robert Lewis Deutscher had to step away from taking care of the property. According to the Jackson County Sentinel, Deutscher died in March and the orchard was put on the market the next month. It has been listed by Southland Realty + Auction with an asking price of $2,125,000.

Girls’ flag football seems to be the fastest growing high school sport in the state of Alabama. It has even moved to the collegiate level! Last season, the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) had 113 teams competing for a state championship across two classifications. That was a 289% increase from the previous season. But it wasn’t just about the quantity of teams—the quality was among the best in the country.
