    1 Introduction Lung Cancer (LC) is the leading cause of cancer mortality worldwide, and the most recent data derived from Global Cancer Observatory 2022 has shown a significant increase in both global incidence and mortality of LC [1]. Over 2.4 million new LC cases and more than 1.8 million deaths were recorded in 2022. There are two main subdivisions of lung cancer: Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC) and Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC), which account for about 85% of all patients with LC.

    Missouri men’s basketball started its two-game road stretch in Nashville, Tennessee against the Vanderbilt Commodores. This was the second time this season that the two have faced off –  the first resulting in a Tigers home victory. After a hard-fought contest, the Tigers were defeated in overtime 97-93. With 1:33 remaining in regulation, Missouri led by six points. Vanderbilt went on a 7-4 run and was only down three points with nine seconds left to go.

    Missouri men’s basketball had a week of highs and lows, securing an upset victory over No. 4 Alabama before losing on the road against unranked Arkansas. After splitting the two games, Missouri moves to 20-7 on the year, with only three regular season games remaining. During this set of two games, Missouri suffered from poor defensive play. Against Alabama, Missouri allowed its most points in a single game with 98 from the Crimson Tide.

    Coming off the heels of a week where the Tigers lost a pair of top-10 opponents, Missouri men’s basketball defeated Oklahoma 82-58. This was the first time the two faced off in SEC conference play in the 212th installment of the rivalry. Missouri capped off the first half with a 13-3 run, extending its lead to 44-24. Junior Mark Mitchell scored 19 points and collected six rebounds in the first 20 minutes. Those 19 points helped Mitchell pass the 1,000-point mark in his collegiate career.
