Missouri returned home after a loss to Auburn in its first in-conference game of the season to take on two more SEC opponents. The Tigers faced LSU and Vanderbilt, giving Missouri its first two wins of SEC play this season. After capturing an early lead against the LSU Tigers on Jan. 7., Missouri never looked back, winning 83-67. This marked the first conference win of the season for Missouri.

Two weeks into the season, the St. Louis Blues are starting slow. Through seven games they have a 4-3 record, sitting at No. 5 in the Central Division standings. St. Louis plays in a tough division this year that contains the Winnipeg Jets, the current No. 1 team in the NHL. The Blues lost to the Jets Oct. 22 3-2, keeping the game close against a top-5 goal scoring offense. As the Blues look ahead to the next few games, a few things stood out in their play so far.

Missouri men’s basketball had their only exhibition game against the Lincoln Blue Tigers Saturday, Oct. 26. The Tigers took the lead early and never looked back, winning 90-45. Tigers forward Mark Mitchell was an active presence on offense, scoring 22 points. Guard Caleb Grill stood out with his outside shooting, finishing 5-of-6 on 3-pointers. He had 20 points total in the win. Missouri as a team went 29 of 46 on field goals and 8 of 13 on 3-pointers in the game.

After a 43-33-6 record and fifth-place finish in the Central Division last season, the St. Louis Blues are looking to make the playoffs for the first time in three years. Forward Robert Thomas led the way in scoring last season, tallying 60 assists and 86 total points. Center Jordan Kyrou finished with the most goals for the Blues, scoring 31 total. Goalie Joel Hofer had the highest save percentage between the two goalies at 0.914 percent.
