Massive stars form in dense, opaque molecular clouds which contracts under their own gravity. Once local gravitational collapse takes place and form a stellar embryo, the conservation of momentum organizes the infalling material as an accretion disc, which fragments. Its debris feed the growing protostar, inducing luminous flares and forming companions (Meyer et al. 2019; Meyer & Vorobyov 2024).

Genomic prediction for multiple environments can aid the selection of genotypes suited to specific soil and climate conditions. Methodological advances allow effective integration of phenotypic, genomic (additive, non-additive), and large-scale environmental (enviromic) data into multi-environmental genomic prediction models.

Type Ia Supernovae (SNe Ia) are a critical tool in measuring the accelerating expansion of the universe. Recent efforts to improve these standard candles have focused on incorporating the effects of dust on distance measurements with SNe Ia. In this paper, we use the state-of-the-art Dark Energy Survey 5 year sample to evaluate two different families of dust models: empirical extinction models derived from SNe Ia data, and physical attenuation models from the spectra of galaxies.

2.1. Chemicals Ex situ Pd/TiO2 samples were prepared using P25-type TiO2 (Evonik Operations GmbH) as a support. Palladium atomic absorption standard solution (1 mg ml−1 Pd in 5% HCl, Sigma-Aldrich) was used as a metal source. Both the support and the metal source, in a ratio to obtain 2 wt% Pd/TiO2, were dissolved in 0.1 M solution of formic acid in Mili-Q water with a total volume of 100 ml inside a batch-type quartz reactor cell, which was permanently flushed with N2.
