ORLANDO, Fla. - We're looking at a another day with heightened fire danger across the area, and that risk isn't going away anytime soon. The setup is all due to a ridge of high pressure that will keep any rainmaking systems far north of Central Florida. Low humidity, breezy winds and fry air will continue to quickly dry out vegetations. Please be extra cautious if you're grilling, burning yard waste, or doing anything that involves open flame.

ORLANDO, Fla. - We're heading into a stretch of abnormally warm spring weather across Central Florida, with conditions staying very dry. For the next several days, Central Florida will remain under the influence of high pressure over the Atlantic, meaning we're locked into a dry pattern through the weekend - no rain in the forecast for now. The breeze looks to pick up Friday and Saturday as high pressure strengthens. Expect gusts to reach 15-20 mph.

ORLANDO, Fla. - As spring gives way to summer, Central Florida is dealing with an increasing threat of wildfires as drought conditions worsen. Throughout April, a significant portion of the area has fallen under moderate to severe drought, leaving the area vulnerable to brush fires. Typically, the transition to the rainy season begins in the latter part of May, marked by a noticeable increase in humidity and the return of our daily sea breezes.

ORLANDO, Fla. - The big weather story in Central Florida on Wednesday is the large plume of dry air settling in behind a cold front. That means the fire weather threat remains high across all off Central Florida. This time of the year, make sure you are extra mindful of any outdoor burning. With the low humidity values, the weather will be feeling very comfortable across town, with highs in the low 80s inland and upper 70s along the coast.

ORLANDO, Fla. - A ridge of high pressure will continue to breakdown as a weak front approaches Central Florida on Tuesday. Ahead of the front, winds will pick up a bit through the early afternoon, reaching around 10 to 15 mph, with a few gusts near 20 mph. Daytime highs on Tuesday will climb into the mid- to upper 80s for much of the area, with skies remaining mostly dry until sundown.
