The court heard the man had 14 prior breaches of a domestic violence order on his criminal history.

Hervey Bay residents - and the beach as it turns out - were remaining calm on Monday as Tropical Cyclone Alfred hung over the Coral Sea. Slightly south at Gympie, a flood watch remained on the Mary River as all eyes were trained on Cyclone Alfred and where it might possibly cross the Queensland coast this week. Rainbow Beach was feeling the full effects of the cyclone, with photos and video showing the massive amount of sand being pulled off the beach by the waves over the weekend.

A fourth person has been reported missing on the Fraser Coast in the space of a week. Three of the missing people are 17-year-old boys. In the latest matter, police are seeking public assistance to find a third 17-year-old boy reported missing from Maryborough since Wednesday, February 19. The boy was last seen at a park on Sussex Street but has not been seen or heard from since.
