The new High-Risk Breast Clinic at Ridley Tree Cancer Centre is a dedicated resource for early detection and prevention. The Boys and Girls Club of Oxnard and Port Hueneme is starting work on a new multi-million dollar clubhouse. "It's just not about bricks and blueprints and all of the things that we've been working on over the last 10 years," said the club’s CEO, Erin Antrim. "It really is about a belief in our young people."She added that investing in youth is an investment in the entire community. "We serve about 2,400 young people a day, ranging in ages from 5 to 18. It's a real economic factor.

Professor Robert Mendoza scrolled through the photos and video he took last Friday morning. Mendoza teaches English at a university in Ventura County. As he queued for McDonald's at the drive-thru in Downtown Los Angeles, he wasn't expecting anything other than a quiet morning. Suddenly, he heard shouts that ICE was in the area. "I heard 'La Migra! La Migra! La Migra!'" Mendoza explained, referring to the slang Spanish term for Immigration Enforcement.
