The Green Bay Packers moved up four spots in the 2020 draft in the back end of the first round to select quarterback Jordan Love. To do so, the Packers parted with the No. 136-overall pick. The Packers won’t be in the market for a quarterback in the first round of this draft, but they can still get involved and benefit from the Jaxson Dart sweepstakes. There’s a universal belief that the Tennessee Titans will select Miami’s Cam Ward with the first-overall pick.

Football fans nationwide are looking for any glimpse of football they can get in the offseason. Besides the draft and waiting for Aaron Rodgers, among other stars, to decide where to go or whether it’s time to call it a career, football fans need their fix. The Green Bay Packers are still looking to add to their wide receiver room. If history has taught us anything, the Packers won’t draft a receiver in the first round. It will likely be another year when they address this situation in the third round or later. However, the Packers can bolster this room with an underrated player late in the draft. Theo Wease Jr. out of Missouri should be available in the sixth or seventh round or as an undrafted free agent.

In just over a couple of months, J.J. McCarthy will have plenty to prove. The starting quarterback position is up for grabs. If he thrives, he can take his throne as the prince that was promised with the 10th-overall pick in last year’s draft. If he fails, Kevin O’Connell will have Aaron Rodgers on speed dial. It’s a lot of pressure to put on a player who will turn 22 in May – especially one who hasn’t played in a meaningful game since winning the national championship at Michigan in January 2024.

Imagine if someone told you in 2010 that the quarterback you saw the New York Jets unceremoniously cut during the infamous Antonio Cromartie Hard Knocks season would go 34-17 in his first three seasons as the Minnesota Vikings head coach. It wouldn’t be the first time a mediocre player became a great coach. Still, Kevin O’Connell did so with Kirk Cousins under center his first year. A year ago, he had a rotating cast that included Nick Mullens, Jaren Hall, and Joshua Dobbs.
