MILWAUKEE — The Ronald McDonald House provides lodging for families of children receiving critical medical care. It’s a home away from home for those who must travel to partnering hospitals to get their child the care needed. At TMJ4’s “Let’s Talk Wauwatosa," I met Melissa Marney, the Director of Marketing and Communications for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Wisconsin.

MILWAUKEE — This hidden gem is right on time! On my morning walk, I passed a yard with beds upon beds of tulips and instantly knew that there was a story there. Working in the yard were Joseph and Carly Ledger, owners of Aromatic Acres, and they were kind enough to tell me about their business. Here’s what I learned. Benard Runo is a first-generation-born Filipino American. And growing up in America, “there is a pressure to assimilate, to speak without an accent, to speak English well. To fit in as best you can. WAUWATOSA — I met Sandy Krause at a recent TMJ4 “Let’s Talk Wauwatosa” event. She was excited to tell me about her wildlife habitat, and I’m excited to share her story with you. Krause is passionate about pollinators, so much so that her yard has been certified as a habitat for wildlife. “It's a program that's national, but we have a really focused effort here in Wauwatosa," Krause said.
