Firefighters in Dublin sprang into action to extinguish a bin truck blaze in Ballymount. Dedicated crew attached to Dublin Fire Brigade were rushed to the scene of the inferno at around 3pm on Thursday on Katharine Tynan Road, the Embankment Road, at Ballymount. Motorists were warned of traffic delays in the area due to the fire, and at the Red Cow due to another roll over road traffic collision.

An Antrim community has poured support around a woman who remains in critical condition in hospital following a serious crash. Mosside Presbyterian Church in Ballymoney have launched a fundraiser for local mum Shelly Feeney, who is fighting for her life in hospital after a single-vehicle crash on Monday morning, April 14. Emergency services were rushed to the Knockmore Road area of Ballymoney just before 10:30am.

After a glorious week of sunshine, Ireland's spell of good weather is sadly coming to an end. The UK Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain for five counties in Northern Ireland on Wednesday ahead of "persistent" and "heavy" downpours in affected areas, while the Met Éireann forecast suggests it might not be the last warning before the week is out.

A number of homes in Limerick were evacuated early on Tuesday morning after a suspicious device was uncovered. Gardaí in Limerick rushed to the scene after an improvised device containing an accelerant was found at a residential property in Prospect, Limerick at around 2.25am on Tuesday morning. A cordon was quickly established and neighbouring properties were evacuated while the Army Bomb Squad was called in to remove the device.
