The family of a 13-year-old girl who sadly died following a crash at a motor racing event in West Cork over the weekend has thanked "all those who helped" after the tragic incident. Lauren O'Brien of Knockane, Terelton, who attended secondary school in Macroom in Co Cork, lost her life on Sunday afternoon following a crash at an Autograss racing event at the Castletown-Kinneigh track in Enniskean, Co Cork.

Gardaí have launched an urgent search appeal for a Dublin teenager missing since Monday. Michaela Colgan O'Connor, aged 17, has been missing from her home in Dublin 9 since Monday 21 April. Michaela is described as being approximately five foot three inches in height with a thin build, brown hair and brown eyes. When last seen, Michaela was wearing a pink top, light grey jeans, pink trainers and was carrying a cream studded bag.
