JONES COUNTY, Ga. — The Justin Montgomery era of Jones County football starts this season. A McIntyre native and John Milledge Academy alum, Montgomery said football was everything for him growing up. MACON, Ga. — Mercer hosted it's summer team camp, welcoming several GHSA teams from across the state. Many coaches talked about getting the chance to work with their teams early in the off-season, but this camp was also made to train the officials. MACON, Ga. — It's going to be a summer filled with soccer action. Part of the FIFA Club World Cup is coming to the peach state next week, but before the action kicks off in Mercedes Benz Stadium, the Los Angeles Football Club will travel down I-75 and call Macon home. "Folks this is big. This is a big deal for Macon-Bibb County," said Macon-Bibb Mayor Lester Miller. The deal was official as of Tuesday afternoon. Mercer University will host trainings for LA FC during the FIFA Club World Cup.
