"I've been going to Dodge County my whole life," Green said. Her basketball journey started late. Dodge County High Head Coach Cassandra Hamilton said she first asked Green to pick up a ball in elementary school, but Green told her she wasn't interested.

HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. — Of all the Elite Eight matchups for the Central Georgia boys soccer teams Tuesday night - only one team stayed home. The Veterans Warhawks have soared over the competition so far with another dominant season on the pitch. "It's a very special moment. We deserve to be here," said senior goal keeper Brayden Black. Veterans boys soccer is gearing up for another trip to the Elite Eight. Some of their seniors are back in the quarterfinals for the first time since freshman year.

COCHRAN, Ga. — Down in Cochran, Middle Georgia State has a powerhouse softball squad. The purple and black had one of their best seasons at Knights Field. MGA executed on all cylinders and one thing that's stayed consistent is their knockout pitcher Emily Proctor. "Definitely a go-getter - a dog on the mound," according to head coach Randi Wimpy. "It's just crazy. I never thought I'd be in a position like this," said Proctor.

CRISP COUNTY, Ga. — The 2025 NFL Draft is nearly here, and it's a weekend Crisp County's 'Pooh' - Chris Paul Jr. - has been looking forward to since he first put on the pads. "When he started I expected him to be good but I didn't expect him to take us to this level," said Paul Jr.'s mom Veileka Paul. Paul Jr. is getting ready for his shining moment in the NFL Draft. "My nerves everywhere right now," the prospect laughed.
