WILCOX COUNTY, Ga. — The celebrations continue in Wilcox County after its girls basketball program won its first ever state championship. On Saturday morning, the community lined the streets to celebrate the Lady Patriots bringing home the title. "We never experienced anything like this so it's very exciting," sophomore guard Shamauri Martin said. Patriots fans were all over downtown Rochelle celebrating their favorite team and many of their alma mater.

MACON, Ga. — The Southwest Patriots were going for glory in the Single A Division I State Championship. Southwest hadn't made the state title game in nearly 40 years. With everything on the line, the Patriots took the court ready for a win. However, they ultimately were unable to hoist their first trophy since 1989. After the Patriots fell behind by 11 points late in the game, B.E.S.T. Academy ultimately took the title with a 62-56 win.

MACON, Ga. — The last week of January means basketball season is wrapping up soon. Over at ACE, the girls have been having another dominant year. It was around this time last year that the Gryphons were hit hard because two of their starters were ruled out for the rest of the season. Now, in their senior year, the Yates sisters are back to taking care of business on the court. "Of course, it had to happen to both of us," senior Karsyn Yates said.

MACON, Ga. — A sign posted by the Bibb County Sheriff's Office on a West Macon home said Donald Hargrove's rental has been evicted. Hargrove is 70 years old and sometimes suffers from seizures. He was at Atrium Health Navicent Friday morning at 6:30 a.m. until the late afternoon. When he got back, he said all of his stuff was sitting in the yard. "When I turned the corner I could see my furniture sitting on the street," Hargrove said.
