The Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors has strongly criticised the Minister for Justice for what it says is his "inaction on key policing issues and garda industrial relations". The association, which opens its annual conference in Kerry today, says Jim O'Callaghan continues to ignore "repeated warnings" about the garda’s operational policing model which it says every garda and large numbers of the public know "is not working".
