The station also walked away with Broadcast Excellence Awards for Best Newscast, Best Weathercast and Best Digital Reporting. The awards ceremony was held in Detroit. In February, the MAB announced award recipients in several categories. WOOD TV8 received the best awards in 10 out of 15 categories and nine merit awards.
