Philadelphia police are investigating after they said a man was shot while standing on the front porch of his own home. According to police, on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 9:45 p.m., officers responded to the 5800 block of Pine Street after a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, police said they found a 30-year-old man on the porch of a home with a gunshot wound to his back. He was rushed to the hospital by police and placed in stable condition.

A woman suffered severe burns after police said a group of juveniles threw an unknown substance on her face and body in Philadelphia. According to the Philadelphia Police Department, on Sunday, June 1, 2025, around 1:42 p.m., officers responded to South 51st Street after receiving a report of an assault. Upon arrival, police said officers spoke with a 25-year-old woman who reported that a group of juveniles threw an unknown caustic substance on her face and body, resulting in burns.

Several crews were called to the scene of a house fire in West Philadelphia. Skyforce 10 was over the scene at 56th and Arch early the morning of Friday, June 6, 2025. A fire was reported there earlier and was placed under control, but it appears to have reignited again. Now seems to be under control once again. NBC10 is working to find out if anyone was hurt.

Several SEPTA buses are on fire at a facility in Philadelphia, sending a thick plume of smoke into the air. SkyForce10 was over the scene in Nicetown on Thursday, June 5, and fire crews could be seen attempting to control the fire. Officials said this fire is happening behind the Roberts Yard SEPTA Railroad Facility and the Midvale Bus Depot. SEPTA spokesperson Andrew Busch shared with NBC10 that the facility is what they refer to as "the bus graveyard," where all out-of-service buses are stored.
