Pictures posted online show the 89,000-ton, 11,000-foot-long vessel "APL Qingdao" anchored close to New York's Verrazano-Narrows Bridge.

British officials report an arrest in the death of hockey pro Adam Johnson, the former Pittsburgh Penguins player who was killed while playing in England last month. During a collision, an opposing player’s leg goes up and his skate appears to slice Johnson’s neck – he later died at the hospital. Police announcing an arrest on suspicion of manslaughter, but they have not revealed who was arrested – whether it was that opposing player or someone else.

A bombshell court ruling in the real-estate industry could affect anyone buying or selling a home. A jury has decided that realtors have been conspiring to keep their commissions high. The jury found the National Association of Realtors is liable for $1.8 billion in damages for controlling the Multiple Listing Service or MLS and for requiring home sellers to pay both the buyer and seller brokerage fees in a single transaction.
