The now 64-year-old Tulsa, Oklahoma resident, reflects on her journey to America and how she turned suffering into business success. She says she grew up an orphan with no formal education and started working as a child, nannying for a family. She says her job saved her life.

Students at Tulsa's Carver Middle School cast their ballots this week. While these ones will not be counted by the election board, students told News On 6 it could make a difference in the future. Students are doing mock elections, from registering to vote to casting their ballots. The National Junior Honor Society started the process on Monday by getting students registered. Then, students got their own mock voter registration cards, which they needed to bring with them to cast their vote.
