    Investigators are searching for three suspects after one arrest was made Tuesday in the deadly mass shooting this past weekend at a house party in Catawba County. Raekwon Malik Craig, Toland Huff Jr. and Patrick Lee Tolbert are wanted on charges related to the shootings at the house south of Hickory, the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday. The search for additional suspects continues in the investigation spanning six counties, authorities said.

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The number of antisemitic acts in North Carolina increased for the second straight year, according to the Anti-Defamation League. The organization recorded 175 incidents of antisemitism in the state in 2024, including 140 incidents of harassment, 33 incidents of vandalism and two incidents of assault. The findings show the number of incidents increased compared with 2023 when 151 acts of antisemitism were recorded. In 2022, 39 incidents were recorded in the state.

Firefighters in Cornelius-Lemley, Matthews, Greensboro and Raleigh have been using the app, What3words, to navigate to the exact location of a person experiencing an emergency.

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte artists are painting a mural to honor the lives of two young girls who died by suicide after being bullied. Rosalia Torres-Weiner, Eva Crawford and Matt Moore will paint the mural in a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood in south Charlotte. It will pay tribute to 11-year-old Jocelynn Rojo Carranza from Texas and 13-year-old Gabriela Ortega from Durham, North Carolina.

    LAKE NORMAN, N.C. - After more than 50 years, the Lake Norman Marine Commission is disbanding, raising safety worries for some boat renters, and insurance concerns for boat owners despite law enforcement's promise to continue patrolling. The commission will stop operating on June 30. It comes after Lincoln County, which was one of five counties part of the commission, voted to withdraw from the group earlier this month.
