It's Thanksgiving time, and what better way to give thanks than to participate in an important local tradition? Here’s a way to acknowledge some of the best that Flagstaff has to offer: honoring a colleague, a neighbor, an acquaintance or someone you’ve admired from afar with a nomination as Flagstaff Citizen of the Year. The Daily Sun has been sponsoring the award for more than six decades, and it includes three categories: Male Citizen, Female Citizen and Organization of the Year.

The holidays are finally here, despite Thanksgiving landing on the latest possible day in 2024. That means the time to celebrate with family and friends is upon us. To make sure our staff here in Flagstaff can join the festivities, this paper was produced a day early. It still has all the usual Thursday stuff in it, from Gardening Etcetera and the science page to comics and puzzles -- it's just done in advance to make sure it can go out in the mail before the federal holiday.
