The wait is finally over. NFL regular season games are officially back tonight, as the Kansas City Chiefs host the Detroit Lions from Arrowhead Stadium. It was a year ago that the Buffalo Bills were playing on opening night. They defeated the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams and it was a night that the entire NFL saw the Bills has a huge Super Bowl threat.

To say it’s been warm the last several days would be a vast understatement. It’s been downright hot the last four days in New York state. Heat advisories were issued yesterday and today in any parts of the state. AC units have been under stress to help us cool down but the good news is that heat slowly goes away on Thursday and is out of here by the weekend. Unfortunately, we will now have to deal with something we haven’t really had to deal with lately: rain.

It's after Labor Day Weekend, which means most people have moved on from all things summer. They are looking forward to the fall season and all the events, activities and food that comes with it. The Buffalo Bills play meaningful games in just a few days. The Bills travel to the Meadowlands to play the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium. It's a Monday Night Football broadcast, meaning it will air on Channel 7 locally. The Bills roster on paper looks as good or arguably better than 2022...but the Bills have not been a popular pick by many national media members to make it to the Super Bowl. Some even have then missing the postseason altogether.

We're winding down summertime but for many people, the summer season is over. It's after Labor Day, kids are now back in school and we are just 17 days away from the official start of autumn. However, if you look outside and just spend time outdoors, you know that the warmth is still very much here. It will be 80 degrees Wednesday and Thursday, before some cooler air moves in for the weekend and into next week. We still have plenty of time left to enjoy outdoor activities.
