The News is Portsmouth, England's sole paid newspaper and serves a large part of south Hampshire. It is published by Johnston Press, which operates Portsmouth Publishing & Printing from their base in North Harbour, Portsmouth, with printing taking place in nearby Hilsea. While its official name is The News, many still call it The Portsmouth Evening News or simply the Evening News, even though it is now printed in the early morning hours.
