CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A “young teenage suspect” has been arrested in the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old in the parking lot outside the Montgomery County Fair on May 31. Detectives with the Clarksville Police Department’s Special Operations Homicide Unit took the juvenile into custody Tuesday afternoon, and the juvenile has been formally charged with homicide, CPD spokesman Scott Beaubien said.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Several shots were fired Tuesday night behind the Walmart on Fort Campbell Boulevard, but no injuries have been reported. Clarksville Police responded to multiple 911 calls at approximately 7:13 p.m., reporting a shooting behind Walmart at 1680 Fort Campbell Blvd., according to CPD spokesman Scott Beaubien. The incident took place near Quinn Lane and Glenkirk Drive.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Billy Dunlop Park is closed to the public June 2-6 for a Scouting event, according to the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department. Scouts are taking part in weeklong activities, and until their event is over, the park is closed, along with access to the creek. Because Billy Dunlop Park is the exit point for the Clarksville Blueway, the Blueway is also closed June 2-6 at its entrance point – Robert Clark Park.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Police have found and arrested a suspect in the stabbing of a woman at an apartment complex on May 29. Just before 7 p.m. Monday, detectives with the Clarksville Police Department located Jada Turner, 24, and took her into custody without incident, according to CPD spokesman Officer Scott Beaubien. Turner has been booked into the Montgomery County Jail on a warrant for aggravated assault and is awaiting trial.
