We get back to sunshine for the second half of the day! Here is a snapshot for the afternoon. Tuesday brings a nice stretch of weather. We get back to sunny skies and temps in the mid 70s. A big warm-up is in store after that. Highs climb back into the mid 80s by Wednesday and hold there into the weekend.

BALTIMORE - We will start the week off dry with sunny skies. There will be some wind to contend with. We expect readings in the 20 to 30 miles per hour range. That will be a touch more tolerable than what we had on Sunday. We get warm - near 80°, before we gradually come back down in the the mid 60s. The cool down is largely due to rain making a comeback. Showers look widespread Wednesday with coverage gradually coming down Thursday and Friday. Next week clears out with highs in the mid 70s.

Share BALTIMORE — A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for most of our area. This means that conditions are favorable for strong to severe storms to form. There are certainly some limiting factors that could win out tonight (and we are hoping for that.) But, have a plan, just in case. Our watch goes until midnight tonight and is in every county in our area, except Cecil.

BALTIMORE - We are set to end April on a very warm note. Temperatures will quickly climb into the 80s most of this week. This will be "rare air" with high temperatures running 10 to 15 degrees above average for this time of year. We will be close to record highs a few days, but this time of year you have to get to the 90s to break records. The image above is a snapshot of Tuesday with temps in the 80s.

BALTIMORE - Temperatures get warmer heading into the work week. We jump to near 70° by the afternoon. Monday morning will feature some really spotty rain, but most of that will move out by the morning commute. Monday afternoon looks dry, but that changes by the evening. A line of storms and showers works in. Some storms could be strong to severe with damaging wind being the main concern. This severe chance is on the low end, but not zero. Breezy winds are back Tuesday in the wake of that rain.

Happy spring! I noticed these wild daffodils popped up behind the station. https://t.co/YrBXveAwfF

Wind gusts today have been incredibly strong. There is still a high wind warning in place until 10 pm. We had to do the newscast on generator. There are a lot of power flashes and outages. Winds will be a bit better tomorrow, but still strong. https://t.co/DhQKskQlSr
