CEDARBURG — Though the Cedarburg Plan Commission has yet to officially make a recommendation, the mayor and the three other commissioners said they do not want apartments at the site on highways 60 and I. The Plan Commission directed City Planner Mary Censky to create a new land use classification for Smart Growth Area 11 that would be a mixed use of commercial and/or high-medium density residential. SGA 11 is located on the southeast corner of Highway 60 and Sheboygan Road.

CEDARBURG — Officials from the city and town of Cedarburg met during a city Plan Commission meeting Monday to review a traffic and access planning study for along Highway 60. The city of Cedarburg is currently working on updating its Comprehensive Plan Smart Growth Land Use Plan, and it was determined that the city should gather an analysis for traffic/transportation implications. The study, conducted by raSmith, was jointly commissioned by the city and town.

CEDARBURG — Building a combined public safety building in the city of Cedarburg could prove to be costly, according to an initial report of a space needs analysis. The Cedarburg Common Council received an update last week on where FGM Architects is at with its space needs analysis and a 10-year plan of current and anticipated deferred maintenance for the fire and police department facilities from Kraus-Anderson Construction.
