    MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has issued a show cause order (SCO) to a government financial institution after its red license plate was found affixed to a different vehicle that illegally entered the EDSA Bus Carousel. According to the LTO, the red plate with number SAA 1023 is registered to a Toyota Hi-Ace van under the said government agency. However, the plate was seen on a Toyota Fortuner that was flagged for unauthorized use of the EDSA Busway.

    MANILA, Philippines — Random drug testing and roadworthiness inspections will now be standard procedures for public transport vehicles, following a fatal bus accident in Tarlac City, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) announced. During a recent inspection in Subic, Zambales, LTO chief Vigor Mendoza II reported that all buses operated by Solid North Transit are currently undergoing roadworthiness evaluations.

    MANILA, Philippines — The female motovlogger involved in a viral road rage incident in Zambales has surrendered her driver’s license but failed to present the motorcycle she was using during the altercation, the Land Transportation Office said Thursday. LTO chief Vigor Mendoza II confirmed that vlogger Alyannah Aguinaldo, known online as Yanna Motovlog, turned over her license to the LTO’s Intelligence and Investigation Division (IID) on May 8.

    MANILA, Philippines — As authorities move to prevent fatal road crashes, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) has subjected 740 drivers and conductors of a bus company to mandatory drug testing. The drug testing, conducted at the terminal of Solid North Transit in Cubao, Quezon City, was ordered by LTO chief Vigor Mendoza II in response to President Marcos’ directive to tighten road safety standards.
