MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) gave assurance yesterday that it will provide legal help to 11 Filipinos facing jail time in Nigeria. Reports said 11 of the 15 Asians found guilty of cyberterrorism and internet fraud in Nigeria on Friday were Filipinos. After confessing to the crimes, a court sentenced them to one year in jail and ordered them to pay a fine of one million Naira or roughly P35,000 for each of the charges leveled against them.
