Boulder, Colorado (CNN) — While Mohamed Soliman occupies a cell in Boulder County Jail in Colorado, hundreds of miles away, his wife and five children are also in detention, at the hands of Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Soliman, the man charged with attempted murder following an antisemitic firebombing attack Sunday, told detectives that “no one” knew about his attack plans and “he never talked to his wife or family about it,” according to the affidavit for his arrest.

When Derrick Groves, 27, was convicted in October of killing two people, his sentence was supposed to bring relief to New Orleans and renewed confidence in law enforcement. “The days of Derrick Groves bullying and brutalizing this community are over,” FBI Special Agent in Charge Lyonel Myrthil said at the time. But less than a year later, Groves, who later pleaded guilty to battery of a correctional officer, broke out of jail with nine other men and escaped into the dark New Orleans night.

More than a week after 10 prisoners conducted a daring escape out a cell wall in a New Orleans jail, two inmates remain on the run, prompting an intensified search across state lines. Authorities on Monday captured three escapees: Lenton Vanburen Jr., Leo Tate and Jermaine Donald. Tate and Donald were the first of the escaped inmates to be found outside Louisiana.
