    The city of Pueblo is gearing up for a pothole-filling “blitz” from June 23 through June 27 and is seeking your input to identify the most problematic potholes in the Steel City. Puebloans are encouraged to submit their suggestions to the Department of Public Works for the upcoming effort, according to a city news release. “We’re asking residents to let us know where their biggest pain spots are throughout the city,” Acting Director of Public Works Chuck Roy said in the release.

A 2022 assessment rated Pueblo's roads as "fair" overall, with a significant portion in "poor" or worse condition. During the "blitz" the city will not address potholes on private streets, business parking lots, or roads outside city limits.

    A man has been charged with two counts of vehicular homicide after two women were killed in an alleged DUI crash in Pueblo in the early morning hours of June 11. In a June 12 news release, police officials stated that officers were called to the northbound on-ramp of Interstate 25 at 13th Street at approximately 2 a.m. on a report that a vehicle had been involved in an accident and was stopped on the railroad tracks.
