The transfer portal is open for business this spring. It opened on Wednesday, April 16, and will stay open until next Friday, April 25. That's a lot of time for a lot of movement, but through the first day, it's been crickets for Alabama — both in terms of outgoing and incoming. On today's show, Cody, Mike, and Alex make sense of the slow start, some position groups to keep an eye on — both for outgoing and incoming portal moves — as well as some hoops and NIL-related conversation.

Alabama's Sarah Ashlee Barker was selected ninth overall by the Los Angeles Sparks in the 2025 WNBA Draft on Monday night in New York. Barker is the third former Crimson Tide player to be taken in the first round of the WNBA Draft, joining both Jasmine Walker, who was taken seventh overall by the Sparks in 2021, and Tausha Mills, who was taken second overall by the Washington Mystics in 2000. Barker spent three seasons with the Crimson Tide after starting her college career at Georgia.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Running back is an interesting position group for Alabama. The Crimson Tide currently have six running backs on the roster, a number that may soon fluctuate with the spring transfer portal window opening this week. Jam Miller is the leading returner after rushing for 668 yards and seven touchdowns last season. This spring was the first opportunity for others to compete for the RB2 spot.
