INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indiana Pacers have reached the NBA Finals for the first time in 25 years after defeating the New York Knicks 125-108 in Game 6 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. This marks the Pacers’ second NBA Finals appearance, with their last one occurring in 2000. The team will face the Oklahoma City Thunder, who had a regular season record of 68-14, in the finals starting Thursday, June 5.

The annual “Pack the Cruiser” event aims to help families provide sufficient meals for their children during the summer months. Detective Dean Mucha started this event nine years ago. Since then, police departments in Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio have started hosting their own “Pack the Cruiser” events.
