LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has begun work to remove a shoal that was discovered at the entrance to Holland Harbor. A shoal is created when waves carry and deposit sediment that collects on the bottom of the lake. Shoals then impact the depth of the water where ships can sail. “There’s 19,000 cubic yards that need to be dredged out of the outer harbor of Holland so that commercial traffic can enter,” said Brandon Hubbard with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

I’m 30 years old and a meteorologist myself but I could still sit and watch The Weather Channel all day. Just like I did when I was a kid.
