BLENCOE, Iowa (KTIV) - Crews searching for a Northwest Iowa resident have located an object in the Missouri River that could be the individual’s body. Monona County Sheriff Kevin Ewing says Iowa DNR crews have used sonar to identify “an object of high interest” near where the boat crash happened. “Our sonar units give us an image of the water column and a shadow of the bottom of the river.

The missing person, a Monona County resident who has not been officially identified, went missing after a boat crash on Saturday, May 24.

The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears Marching Band will march in the Chicago Memorial Day Parade. “I’m coming to the end of my career here,” said Patti Beyeler, who has been band director for the Bear Marching Band for 23 years. “I wanted to make sure that this group of kids was able to go and experience something like this. They’ll be making memories that’ll last a lifetime.
